OBAAT (one book at a time ) is a literacy and bookcycling initiative that collects withdrawn and donated books in Ireland and redistributes them free of charge through our book hubs in Nigeria.
Who We Are
OBAAT (One Book At A Time) is a literacy and bookcycling initiative connecting books in Ireland with readers and communities in Nigeria.
We collect withdrawn and donated books that still have value, give them a new purpose, and redistribute them free of charge through our book hubs. At the heart of our work is a simple belief: access to books can create access to opportunity.
By promoting literacy, encouraging reading, reducing waste, and supporting communities with limited access to reading materials, we are helping books travel further and make a greater impact.
What We Do
